Paulinho Bezerra, FC Barcelona's new signing

FC Barcelona and Guangzhou Evergrande have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player Paulinho Bezerra for 40 million euros, the club has said.

The player’s buy clause is set at 120 million euros.

Paulinho will undergo a club medical on Thursday and the signing of the contract and the official presentation of the new FC Barcelona player will also take place on Thursday.

The 29-year-old Sao Paulo born has won 49 caps with Brazil scoring 9 goals. Before joining Guangzhou Evergrande in 2015, the central midfielder played for Spurs and Corinthians.

While in the Chinese top flight Paulinho found his best form, scoring 25 goals in 95 games for Guangzhou, earning a recall to the Brazilian national side.

Barcelona are also targeting Liverpool sensation Phillipe Coutinho and Borussia Dortmund's Ousmane Dembele.
