Lionel Soccoia: New Coach of Coton Sport

Cotonsports of Garoua, last year’s champions of Cameroon’s League One have found a replacement for Didier Gomes da Rosa. The Frenchman has been replaced by his compatriot Lionel Soccoia.

The new coach has lately been with Gabonese side, FC Mounana, the first division club that played a friendly with the Indomitable Lions last year as part of their preparation for the Brazil World Cup.

Lionel Soccoia was reportedly recruited based on his experience. It should be noted that he led FC Mounana to the quarter-finals of Caf Confederations Cup this season. Before landing in Gabon, he had served in the same capacity with Ivorian club AFAD of Djékanou.
