CHAN Qualifiers: Song Names 20-man Squad to Face Sao Tome

Elimbi Ebembe (Aigle) and Etame Aurelien (Eding) are the two unfortunate players dropped by intermediate lions' head trainer, Rigobert Song, ahead of the African Nations Championship double clash with Sao Tome.

After several weeks of training which began in Yaounde before moving to Douala, a list of twenty (20) players was disclosed on Thursday 10 August 2017, following a press conference in Douala.

Cameroon will face Sao Tome and Principe home and away starting on the 12th of August 2017 in Sao Tome.The return leg takes place in Cameroon on the 18th of August.

Coach Rigobert Song on Wednesday appointed 23-year-old YOSA midfielder, Junior Awono, to replace Coton sport defender Aaron mbimbe as the captain of the 20-man squad that will fly to Sao Tome tonight.
