Coach Jules Nyonga Rubbishes Dismissal Reports

Jules Nyonga has rubbished recent information claiming he has been sacked as coach of Bamboutos FC of Mbouda.

Speaking to Equinox Media 15 August 2017 from Mbouda, Mr Nyonga refuted the claim saying he was on his way to the training ground with the Mangwa Boys.

News broke out yesterday that the President of Bamboutos, Justin Tagouh, had handed the former indomitable lions’ trainer his sack letter following the disappointing 1-1 draw recorded on Sunday against Unisport of Bafang.

Jules Federick Nyonga took over as head coach of the Mangwa Boys on June 10, 2017, after a long absence on the pitch. The 71-year-old is the third to coach Bamboutos this season.

He took over from Laurent Djam and Joseph Atangana who coached the team respectively in the first phase of the championship.

At the time he took over, Bamboutos FC were classified 9th on 22 points. Jules Nyonga has led them in 9 games, winning three, drawing three and losing three. They are now 10th on 34 points.

The Mangwa Boys have been desperately looking for a trophy since joining League 1 in 2014.

Bamboutos FC are the only Cameroonian outfit with an unrivaled fan base. They will be home to Aigle of Menoua on match day 27.
