Legends Over-power Monsters as S.W. Inter-City Basketball Rumbles

Buea Town Legends are off to a good start in the 2017 Inter City basketball tournament, organized within the ambit of the regional league of the Cameroon basketball federation for the South West Region.

On the afternoon of Wednesday 19 July 2017, The Legends defeated Tiko Monsters by 68 points to 42 in the inaugural match of the five-team competition.

At the end of the opener which held at the Molyko Sports Complex in Buea, one of the officials, Chawa Elcid appreciated attendance and performance but insisted rules must be respected.

The Secretary General maintained that no team will be allowed to play with two elite players, unless its management is ready to pay FCFA 5000 in each case.

Molyko Devils will clash with New Mindset on Thursday 20 July, 2017, at the same venue. New Mindset are the youngest team of the inter-city basketball contest.

The competition is aimed at reviving the spirit of basketball and encouraging young talents. Note that games will be played on home and away basis.
