Basketball: South west inter quarters challenge
The office of the Cameroon Basketball Federation, South West branch is planning an inter quarter challenge this summer.
Its president and vision bearer, Ifose Emile Mbella, says the tournament which will be launched next Sunday at the Molyko Sports Complex Buea includes a cash prize of FCFA 200.000.
It will be open to all players of basketball in the region who are at least 17 years old.
Ten teams of 12 players each are expected for the holiday jamboree, but a team must not have two elite basketball players.
Registration fee stands at 10.000 francs and ends on Friday the 7th of July 2017.
Players anticipating the basketball inter quarter challenge have already begun training.
The tournament is aimed at scouting young talents, keeping the south west basketball alive and above all setting a platform for integration of lovers and players into the sport.
