Asante Kotoko Team Bus Accident Kills

Calamity has befallen the entire football community in Ghana after the team bus of Asante Kotoko had an accident in Nkawkaw en route to Kumasi.

According to local media reports, the Porcupine Warriors had been dealt a huge blow after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Inter Allies in the league and it turned worse after the bus heading to Kumasi from Accra encountered the unfortunate incident.

Initial reports suggest there are casualties with players and backroom staff all affected.

The equipment officer of the team was confirmed to have lost his life while some players and coach of the club have also sustained varied degrees of injuries.

The Ghana Football Association on Wednesday said it was devastated by the Kumasi Asante Kotoko team bus accident. 

The GFA has dispatched a strong delegation to the Holy Family Hospital in Nkawkaw to offer support to Asante Kotoko in this difficult time.
