Bassogog Nets 2 as Henan Edge Mbia’s Hebei 3-2

Cameroon right winger, Christian Bassogog netted a brace as his Chinese side Henan Jianye defeated Hebei China Frotune of fellow compatriot Stephane Mbia 3-2.

The 16th day clash in the Chinese Super Lig was observed Saturday July 8, 2017, at the Qinhuangdao Olympic Sports Centre Stadium.

At just 11th minutes into the first half, Hebei conceded from an own goal by R. Hen. Four minutes later, Bassogog made it 2-0 to further stretch their winning elastic. 

Fresh from the dressing room, the former FC Aalborg attacker lashed it in again at the 58th minutes to give Henan a deserving 3-0 lead.

Stephane Mbia’s side strategized for a comeback, and almost made it with former PSG forward Ezekiel Lavezzi netting twice within nine minute. 

Despite losing in the end, Mbia’s Hebei stay top with 29 points while Henan remain 12th with 15 points.

Bassogog and his Henan mates have only managed 3 wins and 6 draws in 16 outings.
