Clinton Njie Leaves Spurs Officially

Tottenham forward Clinton Njie will join French side Olympique Marseille on a permanent deal after both clubs agreed a deal.

The 23-year-old Cameroon international was on loan to the Ligue 1 club last season, scoring four goals.

Njie joined Spurs from Lyon in 2015 for a reported £10m and made 14 appearances for the club, though he suffered a serious knee injury in December 2015.



The White Hart Lane club has wished him the best at Marseille.

Clinton Njie missed out on the 2017 Confederations Cup after he was dropped from a 30-man preliminary squad by Coach Hugo Broos well ahead.

Njie who has been on loan at Olympique Marseille lacked game time at club level and also lost his place in the national team during Cameroon’s run to the African Nations Cup title in Gabon at the start of the year.

Njie has scored at least thrice on pre-season with Marseille. The future is bright!
