In a Press Conference on Monday 2 Ocotber, Coach Broos said Toko Ekambi refused to join others against the upcoming World cup qualifier match with Algeria.

Talking to Vox Africa, a foreign media, Toko Ekambi refuted claims that he had turned down the invitation to join the Indomitable Lions.

He said prior to the official call-up, a staff informed him he had not been called up for the game.

He added that a WhatsApp message from the Team Manager, Alphonse Tchami, also instructed him not to take into account the invitation to come for the match.

The 25-year-old attacker was not part of the squad that faced Nigeria last month because of an injury.
He wondered why Coach Hugo Broos had stated he refused to join the others.

Hugo Broos published a list of 23 players during a press conference held on Monday in Yaoundé.
