Cameroon’s U-17 Coach Joseph Siéwé is no more
The coach of the under-17 national team of Cameroon has passed away.
Joseph Diallo Siewe crossed the bar on Friday October 13, 2017, at the Lanquintinie Hospital in Douala, following a spell of illness.
Upon his death, Union Sportif reacted yesterday as follows on their facebook page:
“C'est avec consternation que la Grande Famille des Nassaras vous annonce le décès survenu ce matin de suite de courte maladie de notre ancien coach M.SIEWE JOSEPH dit "Diallo".
Que nos prières l'accompagne dans ce long voyage vers l' éternité.” His death was also announced by the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT.
According to the Late Diallo’s facebook page, he was born on February 12, 1974.
It has been a week of pain for the great and vast football family of Cameroon after the former President of Tonerre Kalara of Yaoundé, Emile Onambélé Zibi, died days before.
The deceased Coach of the U-17 Lions also managed Union Sportif of Douala and Fundersport (Samuel Eto’o’s football academy).
He groomed star players like Nicolas Nkoulou, Stephane Mbia, Fabrice Ondoua, Bassogo and many others who a plying their trade abroad.
