Cameroon & Morocco complete 1/4 final line up at Men's African Champs

Cameroon and Morocco have completed the quarterfinal line up at the 2017 Men's African Nations championship after the end of postponed match between Cameroon and Nigeria from Day 1 where the Lions topped Pool C ahead of Morocco in the second position.

Cameroon outclassed Nigeria 3-0 (26-24, 25-20, 25-19) in a tough encounter dominated by the winners throughout the 80 minutes match at Cairo Stadium complex in Egypt on Wednesday.

Cameroon finished Pool C matches in the top with a win-loss ratio of 2-0 ahead of Morocco who came second with 1-1, and both teams confirmed quarterfinal tickets. Nigeria finished third with 0-2 to play for the 9 to 14 positions.

Cameroon and Morocco (Pool C) will join the already qualified teams; Egypt, RD Congo (Pool A), Tunisia, Libya (Pool B), Algeria and Rwanda (Pool D) who earlier booked their tickets to the knockout stage

The quarterfinal matches on Thursday will feature a North African clash between Tunisia and their neighbours Morocco, while hosts Egypt face new comers Rwanda. Algeria battle it out against RD Congo, while Cameroon line up against Libya.

In the play off 9 to 14 places Niger meet Chad and Nigeria face Kenya.

The 2017 Men's African championship doubles also as 2018 World Championship qualifiers where the top three African teams book their tickets to represent Africa in the FIVB Prestigious championship.
