Njie Clinton finally survives travel hold-up
Cameroon international Njie Clinton has finally reunited with his France based club Marseille, after problematic travel documents landed him in messy hold-up in Belgium for two days.
Earlier reports said Njie had left for Centre Robert Louis-Dreyfus on Tuesday the 10th of October after the match Cameroon versus Algeria in Yaoundé, but was blocked in an airport in Belgium due to irregular travel documents.
His arrival was confirmed on Friday 13 October, 2017, in a press conference by the Manager of Olympique de Marseille, Rudi Garcia.
"He trained with us this Friday, but he will be penalised for coming late"
"We cannot completely blame him for his travel hold-up but he was careless. I think players are favoured so much that they tend to take things for granted.
It is abnormal to think that you can cross borders in illegality," Coach Garcia told reporters.
