FECAFOOT: 'Pressure' pushes Koa Luc out of office

Nicolas Dikoume has officially replaced Honourable Koa Luc as the new national team coordinator of Cameroon, two weeks after he was appointed.

The much awaited handing over ceremony took place Thursday 11 January 2018.


Former Indomitable Lion, Nicolas Dikoume, was appointed to the office on Friday 29th December, 2017 by FECAFOOT. Reports alleged the Minister of Sports and FECAFOOT were divided over the issue.


Honourable Koa took over from André Nguidjol Nlend who was implicated by the Brussels scandal in May 2017. Before his appointment by then FECAFOOT Boss, Tombi A Roko, Hon. Koa was one of the vice presidents of the Cameroon FA.

The 44-year-old Nicolas Dikoume is a former Indomitable Lion who holds a diploma from ESSEC, a graduate school of Business Management and Economics in Douala, Cameroon.

As a centre-forward, Dikoume won 10 caps with Cameroon netting twice. He started his football career with Canon Yaoundé in 1996, where he later retired in 2008 after playing with clubs mostly in Greece.
