Afrobasket 2017: Cameroon knocked out by bete noire Nigeria
Cameroon have crashed out of the on-going FIBA AfroBasket tournament in Tunisia and Senegal.
In one of the four quarter final fixtures observed on Thursday day in Tunis, the basketball lions lost by 91 points to 106 to the D’Tigers of Nigeria.
Nigeria have now won three times, one more than Cameroon, in their 7 meetings at the FIBA AfroBasket.
Elsewhere, Morocco beat Egypt 66-62, Tunisia dismissed the DRC by 81 points to 60 while Senegal butted out Angola 66-57.
The semi-final will be played on Friday 15 September 2017 as per the following fixtures:
Morocco v Tunisia
Nigeria v Senegal
The grand finale has been slated Saturday 16th September 2017.
The 29th edition of Men’s AfroBasket tournament is jointly hosted by Tunisia and Senegal.
