FIFA/CAF to Appoint FECAFOOT Normalisation Committee Today

The Normalization Committee of the Cameroon Football Federation will be appointed today and installed into their functions tomorrow, FECAFOOT says. 

Officials of World’s Football Governing body FIFA and the Confederation of African Football CAF arrived in Cameroon on Wednesday ahead of the task. Thy were welcomed last night at the Nsimalen Airport in Yaoundé by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education, Oumaru Tado.

The 4-man delegation includes Ahmed Yahya, Veron Mosengo-Omba, Luca Nicola and Madam Segbe Pritchett.

Their main mission in Cameroon is to put in place a Control Committee which will lay ground work for fresh elections at FECAFOOT.

The team will concert with football stakeholders today and eventually appoint members of the Normalization Committee.

On Friday 8th, the Committee shall be officially installed into their functions ahead of the 4-man delegation’s departure on Saturday 9th September.

Football fans are very eager to see the faces that will be assigned the arduous task of organising fresh elections at FECAFOOT within six month.

Since Wednesday 23rd August 2017 when the new FIFA Executive board decided to appoint a Normalisation Committee to manage FECAFOOT, Blaise Moussa the Secretary General has been handling the daily affairs of FECAFOOT.

The puzzle is not only centred around those to be appointed within the Normalisation Committee but those who will eventually be voted into a new FECAFOOT Executive by 28th February 2018.
