Tayiwoh keeps clean-sheet on Stade Renard Debut
Former Opopo goalkeeper Tayiwoh Princewill started with a clean-sheet on his debut at Stade Renard. The new signing guarded the goal post as the Melong side beat Union Kekem 3-0 in a pre-season friendly Saturday 3 February 2018.
The 2017 Cameroon Cup semifinalist with Victoria United agreed to join League One outfit Stade Renard of Melong last week.
The Opopo first choice goalkeeper reached a 1-year deal and will be moving away from the South West Region.
Tayiwoh put up impeccable performances against Elite sides like Feutcheu FC, Racing FC and New Stars FC in the Cup of Cameroon.
Before accepting Coach Djam Laurent’s new side, Tayiwoh reportedly got offers from Fovu of Baham, Aigle Royal of Menoua, New Stars of Douala and a host of elite two sides.
Tayiwoh won multiple medals while playing with the University of Buea. He was nominated best player during the 2015 Varsity games at Yaoundé 1.
Tayiwoh is hoping to start for Stade Renard against Union Sportif of Douala on the 1st day of play Monday 12th February 2018.
