Regional/divisional leagues should end latest August 5-FECAFOOT
The normalization committee of the Cameroon Football Federation has expressed the wish to insure players of amateur championships henceforth.
This was one of the resolutions taken at a meeting on Tuesday 13 February 2018 in Yaoundé, involving the Barrister Dieudonné Happi-led normalization team, Presidents of regional football leagues and those representing amateur football associations.
It was agreed that FECAFOOT will pay the affiliation fees of all amateur football clubs this year, and issue them 18 free player licenses. It was also agreed that regional and divisional leagues should start no later than March 25 and end on August 15, 2018.
Regional and divisional clubs have been urged to operate within the ambit of the current FECAFOOT text, and were assured balls by the federation.
The federation also emphasized that transfer of amateur players to professional clubs should be in strict conformity with the FECAFOOT statutes in force.
