The South West normalization committee president, Barrister Tangntang, has signed a communiqué announcing football clubs eligible for the upcoming division two championship in the south west region.

Best Stars of Limbe won the league last year after beating Treviso FC of Kumba 1-0 in the final.

According to article 91(2) of the regional Football Federation (Fecafoot) statutes, Catholic University FC, Maumu FC, Botafogo FC, Skipodev FC, Ajax of Likumba and Muanenguba FC have been disqualified from participating in this year’s league because they did not take part last season, and no third divisional league was played. The 18 shortlisted teams have been urged to complete registration before the season starts, else sanctions would be meted.
