Volcanic
Warriors Ladies and the men of UTCI Kings Yaoundé have won the finals of the
3-on-3 street basketball competition which took place over the weekend at
Guinness Street Buea.

Buea D.O Receives Prize as Number One Basketballer |
The
event was organized by the president of this new kind of basketball Mr. Paul
Titi Belate, in partnership with the south west regional league of basketball,
headed by Coach Efose Emile Mbella. Present at the event were the national
president of basketball, Tendong Nduku Samuel, the D.O. of Buea, Kouam Wokam
Paul, the president of the Catholic University Institute of Buea, Rev. Dr.
George Nkeze, the Catholic Education Secretary, Rev. Father Nougi Alexander
Sop, and a host of others.
Four
female basketball teams took part including Volcanic Warriors who won the
trophy, FAP Yaounde, CUIB and Flux Douala. Unlike the female category, five
teams participated in the male competition including FCBC of Douala, Volcanic
Warriors One, Volcanic Warriors Two, CUIB and UTCI Kings of Yaoundé who emerged
champions. The next three-on-three basketball competition will take place in
Bangante in the future.
