Alain Nandjou wins FCFA 1 m as man of the match

New Stars FC’s rising star, Alain Nandjou Nganle, has been nominated man of the match after his lone goal earned the Douala club their first Cameroon Cup trophy.

The 23-year-old midfielder scored at the 43rd minute as Coach Laurent Djam’s low-ranked side stunned star-studded Union Mouvement Sportives of Loum during the final of this year’s Cup competition, played at the Ahmadu Ahidjo Stadium in Yaoundé on Sunday December 10, 2017.

He was named man of the match on Monday 11 December by a 5-man jury including former Cameroon Coach Jean Paul Akono, intermediate lions’ trainer Rigobert Song and Mola Matute Menyoli.

The man of the match trophy handed to Nandjou by the President of the Normalisation Committee of FECAFOOT was accompanied with a cheque of 1 million FCFA.

The ceremony took place at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex.
