Cameroon Premier league: Day 6 as it happened

Day 6 matches of the MTN Elite one championship were played on Wednesday 7th March, 2018, in stadia across the national territory. Day six actions produced 12 goals from 6 victories and three draws. 




Bamboutos of Mbouda and Feutcheu FC were the big winners of the day, following two-zero victories over Eding and YAFOOT respectively.

In Bameda, YOSA recorded their 4th draw after playing a barren tie with Dragon of Yaoundé. Note that Coach Ndumbe Bosso’s team who now lie 6th with ten points have yet to concede a goal after six days of play.

Fovu of Baham have hit the second spot on the league table following a 1-0 victry over New Stars of Douala. In Bafang, Astres conceded their first defeat after falling one nil away to Unisport of Haut Nkam. 

5th place UMS and mid-table Stade Renard shared the spoils after separating goalless in Loum. The classico of the day proved tough for home side Union Sportif of Douala. Les Nasara Gamakai lost zero to one to heavyweights Coton at the Centenary stadium in Limbe.

Colombe of the Dja and Lobo picked a second consecutive victory, beating the Eagles of Menoua by a goal to nothing.




Defending champions Eding Sport also crashed for the first time, falling zero to two at home to Bamboutos of Mbouda. 

Apejes and AS Fortuna battled to a 2-2 draw in Mbankomo, the same venue where league leaders Feutcheu FC of Bandjoun humiliated YAFOOT by two goals to nil.

Feutcheu have bounced back to the top with 11 points, seconded by Fovu of Baham. Unisport complete the top three with 10 points, one behind Fovu. The red zone is occupied by New Stars, Yafoot and Aigle of Menoua. However, the 2017 cup winners could escape the danger if the outcome of their two delayed games is positive.
