Buea
United FC have brushed aside south west division two favourites, Victoria
United, 3-0 on Wednesday August 26.
The
game which took place at the Buea municipal stadium was one in a series of match
day one pairings for the second round of the regional division two football
championship.
Before
then, Victoria United also known as Opopo had brilliantly finished top of Pool
A with 15 points after five fruitful outings. Unfortunately, Buea United of
Coach Njoku Barnabas has stepped in to stain their clean sheet, which is strong
signal urging the Limbe club to review strategy if they must replicate first
round performance. The Opopo boys went home shocked and are yet to come to
terms with their performance yesterday in Buea.

The
game being described as a top-of-the-table clash pitting Little Foot FC to
Continental FC comes up later in Ombe.
Meanwhile,
on Sunday August 23, the local derby between Kumba Lakers and city rivals
Treviso ended in chaos in the second half following Treviso supporters’ attack
of the second assistant referee because she ruled out an offside goal. The
Cameroon Football Federation for the South West says the discipline and
homologation committee will meet soonest to review that chaotic game.
