Buea Selection Triumphs over Best Stars

A Buea Selection headed by Njoku Barnabas has won Best Stars one nil in a friendly game played on Friday at the Molyko Omni sports stadium. The game began at 3.45 pm in the presence of a considerate number of spectators motivated by the visiting Best Stars Academy of Limbe.

The match winner was scored in the first half of the highly contested victory by Ebini Arrey of Cinyodev FC. Before getting the curtain raiser, the selection Buea team had squandered chances from sporadic strikes. Best Stars tried hard to regain feet with multiple substitutes from Coach Djofack Saturin. 

The visitors were baffled by the game plan of Coach Njoku Barnabas, controlling from time to time. At full time, it was one for Buea Selection and zero for the Limbe-based outfit. Both coaches said they were satisfied with their players output.

It should be recalled that Best Stars beat Continental FA 2-1 to retain the regional title as far as the SWR league is concerned. The stars’ game against Buea Selection is one among several preparatory matches as they brace up for this year’s national inter pool.
