Handball And Football Outfits: Heroes of UB’s Glittering Medals In Cameroon’s Varsity Games 2015

including the masculine handball (Gladiators) and football squads magnificently
wore UB’s colours with pride in the recent 2015 varsity games played in May on
the campus of Yaoundé I University.

With the support of the
number one sports lady, the Vice Chancellor of UB Nalova Lyonga, the University
of Buea Football Club was impeccably instrumental for the Anglo-Saxon learning
abode in this year’s Cameroon’s all university games, which commanded about
4500 athletes from 19 higher institutions of learning to converge on the
University of Yaoundé I premises.
The notable academic soccer warriors of head coach, Nicholas Asongu, rubbed the turf
with the University of Douala (2014 winner), Saint Jerome Institute and INJS,
finishing top in Pool B on 9 points 6 goals.
Male Handball Team:
Consecutive Heroes
It would not only be an
incomplete one but a far-fetched tale if the Gladiators are not also
accorded the recognition they due, as far as varsity games are concerned in
recent years. By their fruits we shall know them so it is said, however, by their
name they have had to win gold medals consecutively for the English-Speaking
Mother Hen (UB), so it has to be said hence.

The male handball team
of UB now has two gold medals in its keeping, reaped from varsity games 2014
and 2015. Simon Burchard Mengede is the technician behind (head coach) these
spitting cobras who won’t give up till they have seen the end in their
contests.
Despite losing the chance to represent Cameroon in October 2014 for
the African handball competition as result of ministerial mismanagement of
funds, the hero who doubles as the vice head coach of the national handball
team of Cameroon has never for once watered down the vein which holds the
Gladiators into a rock-solid unit.Visit fenasu.com for more details if you can.
Ngabo Junior, Akuro
Zuwed and Bechem Divine play with the national team. Also, the coach of the
junior lions contacted UB FC goalkeeper, Taiwo Princewill meanwhile Bakebo the
centre forward was contacted by the coach of Cotonsports of Garoua. The Yaoundé
II University will host the 2016 varsity sports festival.
