SAND-SAND BOYS OF TIKO STUNNED BY EEMSA 1-0 IN PRE-SEASON CONTEST

Former Division One football club,Tiko United, have been defeated one nil by the Elame Eteki Memorial Sports Academy (EEMSA) in the Tiko Challenge, a pre-season tournament organized by club presidents to keep their players fit as they await the South West regional League.

The tournament that was launched on Wednesday April 1 2015 witnessed a mammoth crowd at the Tiko Town Green stadium to watch the event. The teams involved are Tiko United, Little Foot Football Academy, EEMSA and Acadia FC. Acadia lost to Little Foot 1-0 in the first game that started at 1.30 pm before giving way to the last game of the day between Tiko U and EEMSA.

Quizzed on the loss, the coach of Tiko United said since descending from League Two, they have not been preparing. He blamed his defeat on lack of regular players adding that the club's players have deserted because of their relegation.

The pre-season tournament will be in match day two on Sunday 5th April at the Tiko Twon Green. Little Foot will meet head-to-head with Tiko U while EEMSA log horns with Acadia FC, games to watch.
